Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders
We redesigned the cipher for the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders ahead of Prince William’s visit to the Argyll’s Museum at Stirling Castle.
Prince William has become the patron of their Thin Red Line Appeal raising funds for the redevelopment of the Museum.
Tay Road Bridge - Celebrating 50 years of connecting people and places.
Temporary exhibition in Dundee Library and Tayport Community Centre.
August - October 2016
Collaborating once again with curator Catriona Baird, we produced a travelling exhibition
to celebrate 50 years of the Tay Road Bridge. We had access to some fantastic archive photography from local newspapers DC Thomson and bridge engineers Fairhurst Consulting. The exhibition had its first outing at a rather windy celebration day in Slessor Gardens, before being installed in the calmer environment of Dundee Library. Here we also displayed three cases of archive material including the guest book signed by the Queen Mother on Opening Day on the 18th August 1966!
Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail
We were delighted to support Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail over the summer months by part sponsoring the Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce Glow Wullie.
Seventy statues were displayed in Dundee and across Scotland throughout the summer season thrilling thousands of families as they tried to tick each off their list.
At the auction in September a fantastic £883,000 was raised for Archie Foundation to transform Tayside Children’s Hospital at Ninewells.
Dundee Science Centre Education Guide
In June we worked with Richard Gourlay from Dundee Science Centre to design the Education Guide for 2016-2017 showcasing many of the topics children from nursery to secondary school can study at the centre. Highlights include ‘Destination Space’ workshops celebrating Tim Peake’s recent mission to the International Space Station.
We have been working with Jennifer at Pure Beauty since she opened her business in 2003. It has been a privilege to have been part of her journey and see the business grow and prosper over the past 12 years.
We have supported the business with branding, marketing and promotional print material throughout this time.
Jennifer approached us recently to design a new website for the salon with mobile functionality. The new website allows clients to view the price list on the go and contact the salon to book appointments. Clients can also sign up to receive the e-newsletter.
You can visit the new site at www.purebeauty.biz
We’re delighted to be working with Scone Palace in their 50th year of being open to the public. We will be working with their marketing department to produce a new corporate brochure, advertising and promotional material for the historic property.
We are also excited to be working with Girl Guiding Scotland and will be designing their annual report in the coming weeks.
It was lovely to work with Louise Donnelly as she prepared to launch her new business Tiny TAYstes delivering cooking classes to young children.
Louise launched her business during Easter weekend at Glendoick Garden Centre and we got her off to a great start with a colourful logo, pull-up banner and leaflets to promote her classes.
Louise sources all the ingredients for her classes from local farms in the the Carse of Gowrie and throughout Tayside giving young children an opportunity to learn about where their food comes from as well as trying new ingredients in simple, fun recipes.

Women Ahead Awards 2016 and Dundee Rotary Club Swimarathon
February and March 2016
We were delighted to sponsor the Young Woman of the Year Award at the Women Ahead Business Awards held at the Apex Hotel on Saturday 5th March. We very much enjoyed interviewing all the finalists and send our congratulations to the winner Kara Swankie of Swankie Jo’s.
Once again, we provided a package of design which included the call for entries leaflet, online promotion, event programme, table plan, certificates and trophies.
We also supported the third Dundee Rotary Club Swimarathon. As part of a global event, 300 local participants aged from 6 to 86 raised over £26,000 for local charities and organisations.
Mary Slessor Foundation website
This month we were fortunate to have a further opportunity to work with Doug and Lynne Binnie of the Mary Slessor Foundation following the designs we produced for the Centenary Exhibition at Verdant Works last year.
We were commissioned to redevelop the website reflecting the work of the charity in Nigeria as well as the life of Mary Slessor herself. Much of the content from the exhibition is reformatted for the website giving visitors to the site a unique opportunity to learn about this inspirational woman.
Mary, who started her ‘career’ as a mill girl at 11 years old, became a missionary in Nigeria at the end of the 19th Century. She lived among the tribes, learning their languages, challenging their extreme superstitions and customs, and rescuing many women and children from death. When Nigeria became a British Protectorate, Mary became the Empire's first female magistrate.
One hundred years later, her influence and legacy lives on - she has become known as “Mother of all the peoples” and thousands gathered in Nigeria last year to celebrate the centenary of her death. The Foundation set up in her memory is working to provide educational and employment opportunities in Nigeria www.maryslessor.org
At the beginning of February we won a contract with Business Angus to redevelop the Carnoustie Country golf tourism logo and branding ahead of the Senior Open in 2016 and The Open in 2018 to be hosted at Carnoustie Golf Course.
Following the redesign of the logo and strap line we went on to design the golf map and special offers leaflet, social media and e-newsletter templates, advertising and exhibition design for the Scottish Golf Show and
the Visit Scotland Expo.
As part of the design package we produced comprehensive guidelines for use by the Business Angus in-house design team.
We have been working with Caroline, Sheena and Stephanie from the Hideaway Experience to redevelop the brand for their luxury holiday accommodation “for couples only”.
The Hideaway Experience combines the best elements of self-catering with the very best attributes of a luxury city hotel; high quality furnishings, spa facilities, cocktail bar, open fires, all set out under the stars of the beautiful Angus countryside.
