Discovering old Dundee

After a busy and productive morning Wendy and Caitlyn enjoyed a visit to Discovery Point this afternoon for the opening of the new Discovery Dome. It’s a brilliant addition to Dundee’s tourism offering and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city!

It’s an impressive and immersive VR experience to view the city as it was in 1901 when RRS Discovery was first launched.

Alan Cumming’s commentary states that “the same energy, curiosity and optimism that first put Dundee on the map is still here.”

Congratulations to Deirdre Robertson and all the team at Dundee Heritage Trust for transforming the previously inaccessible cuploa to create this fantastic panoramic gallery overlooking the city and the river Tay.
